Welcome to the HRA website

In 1949, the Redevelopment of the City of Harrisburg was created by the state legislature. The federal, state and local governments provided funding to enable the Authority to actively revitalize the community. The creation of redevelopment authorities by the state legislature also granted authorities the power of Eminent Domain which would aid the Authority in numerous future revitalization projects.
